He was also Executive Vice President and Chief
Operating Officer of the publicly held Communication Group of Caribiner
International, at the time, the largest, worldwide producer of meetings
and events for Fortune 1000 companies, from November 1993 until
August 1999. At Caribiner, he played an integral role in that company's
IPO, in 1996; and the overall revenue and profit growth of the Communications
Group…taking that Group from $50 million in 1993 to $270 million
at the close of fiscal 1999.
This growth was built on both an organic and an acquisition basis.
Mr. Cohen was responsible for all aspects of revenue building, marketing
and operations. Financial responsibilities included everything from
revenue through the net profit. He also played a key role in the
presentation to the various funds, around the world.
